Singapore sojourn (January 2010)

It's my first time to travel outside of the country! So i had mixed emotions about this trip. Psyched is an understatement. Thank heavens I was travelling with Jay (who is by the way the 'well travelled' type) because the truth is, i have the tendency to either miss a flight or lose a passport. Totally uncool when travelling.
we flew via Philippine Airlines and arrived at Changi Airport at around 10pm. I was impressed with how huge and contemporary it was! I couldn't help but to take a photo of the airport's complimentary candy?
MRT is the most efficient means of transport when travelling in Singapore. you can get to any destinations quickly without having to worry about being stuck in traffic. i was quite impressed how spacious and clean the train was.
meet my ever reliable and gorgeous travel buddy!  trust me he's like a walking map! lol!

Orchard Road is the retail hub of Singapore. Well, we only did a short walk on this street and all i can remember is this is where LV, Chanel and other high end flagship stores are located.
I was quite amazed that as late as 7:30pm the sun was still out. I guess am just used to our sundown time but hey it's really awesome!
The Merlion (Malay: Singa-Laut) is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, used as a mascot of Singapore. Okay i just googled that. lol! But this was taken at Sentosa.
This zipline is i think the longest one i've tried. Luckily, i survived it.
Photo op after the zipline experience. Cute!
FYI: i only learned how to ride a bicycle in college and i never got sick of it since. This was taken at East Coast Park and surprisingly the man who works at the bicycle rental place is a kababayan!
This i must say is one the most thrilling and exhilarating experiences i had in Singapore. The parajump. It allows you to replicate the feeling of a freefall parachute jump from 50 foot. Gasp!
Chinatown! one of my favorite places in Singapore. Need i say more? Just look at the shopping bag!
Here comes the foodie! i think he's the cloned Anthony Bourdain :P
i wasn't that adventurous when it comes to trying out delicacies. Don't get me wrong, i did like the food in Singapore but for some reasons i still opted eating in KFC than in hawker stands. Big mistake! Yea i know i suck at it but you must also understand that i'm a newbie when it comes to this. Okay enough of my reasons. lol!
Huge replica of Siddharta Gautama (Buddha) in Chinatown.

There is so much to see in Singapore and i learned loads from this trip. Travelling truly broadens the mind. i enjoyed the convenience of jumping from one train to another basically just to get to anywhere we wish to go and i admired how disciplined its citizens are, their diverse culture and clean environment.

The train rides, photoshoots and a whole lot of walking. The exhausting yet amazing trip that was. This is my first and will definitely not be the last.
